We're Josh & Els, an adventure-loving couple who crossed paths through our creative jobs in 2022. We used to travel the world for hundreds of events per year, and had so much fun in the process, but we had a realisation that started it all...
We both love being outdoors, disconnecting from the pressure and power that modern day technology holds over us nowadays. Cold-water swimming in the sea, foraging for interesting ingredients, exploring breathtaking hidden-gems around the UK, and cooking unprocessed, hearty food surrounded by nature. This was the dream! Our goal was to be able to do this full time.
We realised we wanted to live in nature, not just visit it. Inspired by off-grid living and self-sustainability, we both started dreaming of a life connected to the outdoors, building our own home, and growing our own food.
Within two weeks, we’d left our jobs and moved out of our cozy flat, ready to chase something new—a life closer to nature, creativity, and adventure.
The next step in our plan was to get an old run-around… so we bought a tiny 4x4, a Mitsubishi Shogun—it broke down the day we bought it, but after a bit of tinkering we were on the road!
